We thrive in
giving you the best solution without the confusion!
We have been
building custom computers for over 9years. We build servers, multimedia
and gaming machines. We strongly believe that our machines are the
best money can buy in this country. We have never compromised on
any component within and will choose only the best for you.
There is thousands
of components to choose from these days, when deciding to have a
computer customized by a company.
We service computers
all-day-long and unfortunately most we see are of miserable build
quality. Many of them from supposedly "reputable" companies.
Most of them are built with underpowered or poor quality and even
hazardous power supplies, poor case designs, that in turn lead to
continuous overheating issues and in turn to slow performance, poorly
chosen component combinations that simply won't work together well,
or the big companies way of saving pennies, by leaving out essential
fans or other cooling mechanisms, that lead to a burn out just outside
the warranty.
For us, it is
not surprising to find this many poor quality machines. The computer
market is saturated with products and couldn't be more confusing
when you are ready to buy. Price is often the deciding factor at
the end. And in computing, you get exactly what you pay for. If
its cheap, it probably is. The retail margin's in computers are
the lowest anywhere, and when something costs little, it probably
cost little to make.
Unfortunately
the internet has not made that confusion any more translucent, but
added to the complexity, as now you are going to have to take the
judgment of various anonymous posts and opinions (or epinions),
review sites and your friend of a friends opinion, "which is
a computer geek, knows he's stuff really well, and has even built
his own machine" into consideration when shopping around.
The end result
is, that if you take all of those "opinons" together,
it will make it even harder to make a purchasing decision, and that
leaves you with nothing but to take another chance with another
company and/or "deal".
What will make
you buy a machine from us? Most of our current business is derived
through customer referral or word of mouth. We spend little on advertising,
because we try to keep our overhead low to stay competitive. We
chose a good retail location with easy access and parking in a central
shopping area.
We have been servicing, repairing and building computers for almost
9 years now. Its a tough market out there and we have never compromised
on quality. In fact, we can proudly say, that we have never built
a computer with a single substandard component in all those years.
Also, we have been dealing with reputable vendors for all these
years and built a strong relationship with them that allows us to
deal with parts problems immediately if they arise. They know us
and they know what we buy, and we have never bought low end. Warranties,
contrary to common believe, are extensive on good components. Generally
no less then 3 years. Its easier to have vendor warranties done
with them if they know your buy history, and that in turn makes
it easier for you to have defective components repaired, exchanged
or replaced. This relationship is our backbone and is just as essential
as giving you top notch service when you have an issue. For example,
we have never bought a single OEM memory module from our memory
vendor in 8 years. Hence, all the memory we have ever bought from
them has life time warranty. If you happen to get a defective memory
module from us (very rare), or the memory goes bad (believe us,
it does), you can return it and we swap it in 99% of the cases on
the spot, even after 8 years.
Many companies
(most) will tell you, that when a system has a problem, it is a
software issue, or god forbid, if you built it yourself, you probably
messed up somewhere.
As soon as this word is spoken out, it means, "its your fault,
or the software's fault", and hence, your own problem to be
solved at your own cost.
To come to this conclusion it is often through a painful process
of dealing with annoying 1-800 "service" numbers, that
make you go through various "idiotic" procedures that
at the end of day, didn't do a thing but leave you stranded with
yet another boat anchor and/or worse, more garbage for the landfills.
From our experience,
many problems, if not most, are actually caused by a combination
of issues. There is no doubt, that some "users" will have
more problems then others, probably due to poor advise in first
place, or no or false advise to the "user" when he/she
purchased the unit.
However, in many cases, the underlying issues are actually hardware
issues, which then cause software issues. There is an incredible
amount of computer junk out there (that is actually in use), we
see it many times daily. There is various qualities of memory you
can buy, hard drives, mainboards with price differences that are
in the hundreds of dollars, supposdely doing the same thing. To
give an example you might want to ask yourself why a 1gb memory
module costs $49 in one store and $120 at another, and apparently
its the "same" based on size and specifications. The truth
is, unlike common believe, its probably a different brand, with
different warranties, different specs (hidden or complex specifications,
that are more difficult to explain) attached and went through different
screening procedures for quality assurance. As mentioned above,
in most cases, if something costs more in computing, it probably
cost more to make. The retail margin's are so close to the actual
cost of manufacturing, that overpriced items are exceptionally rare
in this market.
Compuresource
is and has always been striving to provide the best quality components
available, with the best customer advise attached to avoid the wrong
purchase in the first place. We try to take the guess work out for
you and only sell a limited few brands, that we carefully picked
over the years. This is our business, we know whats good and bad
because we see it everyday, not just once, but many times a daily.
You simply won't find another store like that anywhere.
And, we have
a store you can walk into with your machine. This is good news,
because many "stores" these days don't have a place you
can walk into. You can drop it off here and leave it to the experts
at compuresource to have it resolved today. Get it off your back
and have it fixed. We don't have a "next business day"
onsite service policy* attached to our sales, because we can deal
with it TODAY, right now.
*(which you
will rarely get in reality, and even if you do, probably only if
you have spent at least 3 hours on the phone with someone in India
trying to explain to them that your machine doesn't power on)
