Video/Sound/Network Card Installations

The cost specified is the labour cost to install a Video Card, Network Card or Sound Card into your computer.

Most video cards will fail due to heat or unexpected power loss or power surge to the system.

Most sound cards will fail due to electronic failure. It is rare that sound cards fail.

Most network cards will fail due to electronic failure or a power surge.

The price specified applies to installations into a generic clone computer.

Video, Sound or Network card installations into proprietary computers, such as Apple, Dell, HP or Compaq computers might be charged extra.

An installation into a laptop computer might be charged extra. In most cases only network adapters can be installed into a laptop computer. However, external sound cards are available for laptop computers.

All installations are checked. E.g., a network adapter is configured and tested, and will be able to go on the internet or intranet within the store. A network adapter that was capable to go "online" within the store via the ethernet adapter installed will be able to go "online" at your home location via the same adapter if the internet modem and/or router is configured properly at that site.

We will not support you via phone or otherwise if you can not go "online" with the ethernet adapter installed. You will need to speak to your internet service provider to have your internet configured or schedule an onsite service appointment with our store. The charge per visit is $85 plus applicable taxes. Sound cards are tested with our speakers. Your speakers have to be in working condition to hear the sound.

Some video adapters might not be compatible with your system.

Video Cards come in different formats; e.g. PCI, AGP, PCI-E etc. The computer has to have the proper slot in order for them to be installable.
