Power Supply Installation

The cost specified is the labour cost to install a power supply into your computer.

Power supplies often fail due to unexpected power loss or a power surge.

Many computer systems are built with poor quality power supplies in order to save costs. We only recommend the highest quality brands for replacement. Our Antec brand comes with a 3 year manufacturers warranty.

The price specified applies to installations into a generic clone computer only and does not include the cost of the power supply.

Power supply installations into proprietary computers, such as Apple, Dell, HP or Compaq's might be charged extra.

All installations are checked. Power supply installations do not guarantee, that the system will work otherwise. A computer with a working powersupply will power up and display a post screen. Power supply installations are often paired with system diagnostic fees, hence, an additional $30 would be charged in order to determine if all other parts are fine.

The system diagnostic fee will determine if the other components within the computer are in working condition. The details of the system diagnostic tests are outlined here. We strongly recommend the pairing of a system diagnostic with a power supply installation, as power supplies will often damage other components once they fail.

Some machines will require proprietary power supplies and will need to be ordered specifically for the machine type. A typical example is a Dell, HP or Compaq computer. All of those replacement power supplies are refurbished and come with no warranties or at best with a limited replacement warranty of a maximum of 90 days only and no returns or credits are possible. We will only charge you our costs to obtain them. For most of these it will take 7-15 business days to get them if they are available.

It will only take one to two business days for Apple or Lenovo power supplies.

Labour costs do not come with any form of warranties or guarantees and are non-refundable.

Basic SPI power supplies come with a 1 year manufacturers warranty. Enermax power supplies come with a 2 year warranty and Antec power supplies (recommended) come with a 3 year manufacturers warranty.

As specified above, proprietary power supplies, such as Dell or HP power supplies come with a 90 day replacement warranty only.
