Laptop Diagnostic
A laptop diagnostic
will determine if and what components might be defective within
a Laptop.
Most laptop
diagnostic fees are $50 with a few exceptions (e.g.: tablet pc's)
The Apple laptop
repair diagnostic fee is $70.
We will check
the memory, mainboard, video card (onboard in most cases), network
card (onboard in most cases), hard drive(s), powersupply (DC jack
and AC adapter) and the ROM drive. We will also check for compatibility
issues within those components. We will check for over-heating issues.
We will check for operating system faults or software configuration
problems, including spyware/malware or virus issues.
We will also
check which part might have failed if a laptop screen will not display
anymore. In the worst case, it is the electronics in the screen
itself, sometimes it a part called the ccfl inverter, then it could
be one of the cable assemblies that lead to and from the screen,
and last but not least, the onboard video chip itself.
DC Jack replacements
are routine at our facility and the replacement jacks will be stronger
then what the unit came with.
In most cases,
the laptop diagnostic can determine what the problem might be with
a computer. After performing this analysis, we will contact you
of what components will need to be repaired or replaced and give
you an estimate of the total cost of the repair.
In some cases,
the laptop diagnostic fee can cover the total cost of the repair.
However, in most cases, additional repair costs will incur. In most
cases the flat fees for additional repair costs will apply as specified
on the repair cost table. Any hardware costs are extra.
The laptop diagnostic
fee is due and payable upon sign-in of any and most computer systems
when the system is brought to compuresource and is non-refundable.
Laptop diagnostic
does not come with any form of warranties or guarantees.
