Hard
drive or CD/DVD Writer Installations
The cost specified
is the labour cost to install a hard drive or CD/DVD - Writer drive
into your computer.
Most hard drives
will fail due to shock or due to unexpected power loss. Some will
fail due to age or overheating. Others will fail due to electronic
or mechanical malfunction.
Most rom's will
fail due to mechanical failure or unexpected power loss.
The price specified
applies to installations into a generic clone computer.
Hard drive and/or
CD/DVD/RW drive installation into proprietary computers, such as
Apple, Dell, HP or Compaq computers might be charged extra.
Installations
into laptop computers might be charged extra.
Some hard drive
sizes will not be suitable for your specific computer and/or might
not be supported by your computer. Some operating systems might
not support the hard drive size selected.
Some DVD burners
will not function in your computer due to system minimum requirements.
Operating system
installations are not included with hard drive installations. Typically,
an operating system installation is $60. The details of operating
system installations are here.
The media and license for the software has to be provided or will
need to be purchased extra. Costs for operating systems are here.
Most hard drive
installations are paired with a system
diagnostic fee, since most drives were deemed defective with
the diagnostic tests prior the installation of a new drive.
The hard drive

DVD-RW drive

Most hard drives
we sell come with a 5 year manufacturers warranty (Seagate).
We sell primarily Seagate Hard drives.
DVD-RW drives
come with a 1 year manufacturers warranty.
Labour costs
do not come with any form of warranties or guarantees and are non-refundable.
